    Animal Farm is a test for any regime. If the new Libya and Egypt welcome its publication, they will finally destroy the arguments of the scaremongers and Islamophobes. If they don’t. there is still some work to be done, and shockwaves still to to take effect.

    Hitchens never disappoints.

    They certainly do not. The greatest books in Russian of the 1930- 80′s were never even written. And many masterpieces of Ancient Greece are ashes at the whim of the Roman wars in Egypt.

    Orwell did say that the only true test of artistic merit is survival.
